Support my challenge to help kids with cancer and save lives

Right now, kids diagnosed with cancer in low to middle-income countries only have a 20% survival rate... While in countries like the UK 80% of children survive their diagnosis.

This October, I'm taking part in 60K for Kids with Cancer to close the 60% gap to help kids with cancer and save little lives.

I'm doing this to raise funds for World Child Cancer, to fund lifesaving treatment and care to kids with cancer around the world.

Please support my challenge to give kids the chance they deserve.

Together, we can close the cancer gap.

Sticking with the bike today and logging the kms,,.. Over 18,000 steps considering j CANNOT PHYSICALLY EVEN WALK 👌🙌

Tuesday 15th Oct
It has been TOUGH TODAY!! been to the doctors and cried a million times with the pain 😩🥺🥺I will never forget this challenge 🫣🫣!! As the saying goes.... We live and we learn... 👌💪🙌👌!! (hopefully I learn to walk properly again... SOON 🫣😳🫣🤞🤞!!) WOULD REALLY LOVE to be back jogging for the last week of this challenge at least 🤞.. But I will continue to cycle, rowing machine and log the miles any way I u can get moving!! 👌🤞🤞👌

Slightly over my usual 10,000 steps a day 🤗🤔☺️☺️👌

Tuesday 15th Oct
In REALLLLY immense pain the past few days and cannot walk with the lovely addition of tendonopothy on my chillies and knee and ankle 😩😩😩... Never felt pain like it but, pushing through whatever way I can 😩👌🤞🤞... I cannot physically walk at the minute, so therefore there is no jogging, however I am replacing the kms with cycling so I'm building up the kms through it while my tendons HOPEFULLY HEAL 🤞.... The tendons are not as painful when I'm on the bike or rowing machine, so that's how I will be clocking up the mileage for the next week anyway and see how it goes from there 🤞! Past 100kms now ☺️👌🤞🙌last push is on for the remaining 16 days!! 👌🤞🤞💪💪🤞!! Let's hobble my wag through it and see what I can achieve 🤞🫶💪 THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT and donations... Would really love to exeed the £600 target... But let's see what we can achieve in this next 16 days 🤞🫶🤞🙌🤗THANK YOU EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT 💪👌🙌!! I DO not think I will ever forget this challenge 🫣🫣and nor will my limbs and tendons 🫣🫣🫣🤔😳😂!!

Day 10

Thursday 10th Oct
This has got to be the TOUGHEST DAY YET!!... The amount of pain my knee (I suffer from patella tendonopothy) (which was caused FROM road impact running 🫣🙄🥴)... But the pain is shooting right down my achillies now... I do NOT HAVE ONE CLUE HOW I JOGGED that whole 6k this evening, I must have cried for a solid half hour afterwards 🫣😂🥱🤷🤷feeling sorry' for myself!!... We take for granted the things we CAN do and are fit to do, but when we put our bodies through things that they cannot handle, it is tough, physically, mentally... Exhausting and painful, I could have stopped this evening and just gave up, or chose not to do the jog, but (mostly stubbornness) I didn't... And yes I am so glad I didn't... But wow am I suffering now!!! 🫣🥴!!... There's another 6k done 💪👌🙌 AND 23.150 steps👌💪 I am definitly EARNING these donations 🫣🥴🤯🤯💪💪!!!

26,542 steps and 8k added this evening 🫣🥰🫶👌😊🫣😏🥵🥵🥵

Tuesday 8th Oct
Finally reached target total 😍☺️👌💖🙌 Well.... Actually achieved OVER TARGET!!!! 🤔😳😲🤯🫣🫣😲😳🤷This is 8th October, we are 8 DAYS into the month of October... Still have 23 days left of this month, and I did NOT think I was going to achieve this 60k within 31 days never mind 8 days👌🙌🫡!.... Now to get the funds up to the same level!! 👌🙌🤞🤞🤞

OK well, I think as I have linked my fit bit with this challenge... It is not just logging my 'challenge' runs... It is also logging all the activity I do daily, however... I do plan to continue to jog my 6km every evening/day in the remianing days of Oct

Monday 7th Oct

Day 7

Monday 7th Oct
After the weekend of short jogs, (trying to have 'rest days'... But instead, I did a couple of very short jogs and increased some steps to add to the challenge total) . Back into my challenge jog of 6km this evening, which went better than expected thankfully, although, still remaining mentally tough, fuelled by tiredness, inconsistent sleeping pattern and low water intake throughout the day,.. I was very ready to just give up many times round that road, but so SO GLAD I kept battling on through the mental negativity and proving to myself that I can actually do it!! 💪👌... It WAS A TOUGH ONE, but it got DONE!! and timing was great also!... Let's hope I get more confident as the weeks roll on 👌🤞🥴🤯🥴🫣💪👌🤞🤞!!!

Day 3 🥵🥴

Thursday 3rd Oct
That was a TOUGH ONE this evening.... VERY TOUGH!!! 🥵🥴(feeling every ounce of my old age right now!!! 🫣😅🥴🥵😩!!) 💪🥴🥵

Day two 🥵👌💪🥵

Wednesday 2nd Oct
Day 2 done, was a very tough one this evening, was not feeling it at all, very little sleep and not enough water drank throughout the day, still got it done, and many many aches and pains later!! 🫣🥴🥵!! 💪👌Can only get better 💪👌🤞🙏💪👌🥵🥴☺️!! LET'S DO THIS 👌💪🫶

First day done 🥴🥵🙌👌💪🥰🤗🫶🥹

Tuesday 1st Oct
Got 5.61 miles in on the first day! Did not actually think or believe I could have done it without dropping... But I DID 🥹👌🙌🤗!!! 💪CANNOT really feel my legs... But... I survived it!!... After a fox and two bat appearances later... 🦊🦇🫣😳👀🤯!! And the heart rate taking off to another realm 🤣🫣🤦!! But I got there!! Not really too bad... Happy enough with the overall steps of the day 22,000! Nice wee amount!! Day one ✅
