This section sets out the terms that apply to your participation in 60K for Kids with Cancer and use of the 60K for Kids with Cancer website. What you can expect from us
The following terms and conditions have been written to ensure that World Child Cancer can support their fundraisers in the best possible way, whilst raising as much as possible to fund their work. If you have any questions about the event, please don’t hesitate to email fundraising@worldchildcancer.org.
As an event participant fundraising in aid of the World Child Cancer, you can expect the following from us:
1.1. Our support, guidance and expertise.
1.2. If requested, provide written support to validate the authenticity of the event and its organisers.
1.3. Be transparent about where your fundraising goes and how it is used.
1.4. Provide expert knowledge and support around the event you are participating in or organising, wherever possible.
1.5. Enable you to create a personal web page about your event on our fundraising platform or our website. This web page will not only help you promote your event, but also allow people to make contributions that will be automatically credited to your event.
1.6. Promote 60K for Kids with Cancer on World Child Cancer social media pages, where possible.
1.7. Provide existing marketing materials and information (where available).
1.8. Provide an event t-shirt (where appropriate).
1.9. Manage and protect your data in line with UK GDPR guidelines.
60K for Kids with Cancer
2.1. World Child Cancer– World Child Cancer will both have access to your data for the purpose of delivering and managing 60K for kids with cancer. World Child Cancer is delighted if people from around the world choose to take part in 60K for Kids with Cancer. Data sharing is managed securely, in line with UK GDPR guidelines.
2.2 Permission to contact you about 60K for Kids with Cancer– By signing up to 60K for Kids with Cancer you agree that World Child Cancer can contact you for purposes relating to participation in 60K for Kids with Cancer, including fundraising communications. You can unsubscribe at any time.
2.3. Permission to contact you about other fundraising opportunities – You can also opt in to receive other communications about fundraising from the World Child Cancer. You can unsubscribe at any time.
2.4. Content created by 60K for Kids with Cancer– World Child Cancer owns all of the trademarks, copyright and other intellectual property that exist in our website. You must not copy or reproduce in any form any of the graphics, logos or other material on our website unless you have our specific permission. For the avoidance of doubt, you have our permission to download material from the Downloads page on our website.
2.5. Content posted by you – Any content that you post to our website (e.g. photos and videos) is your responsibility, and you must make sure that you have the necessary rights to post that content (e.g. by obtaining permission of copyright owners if necessary).
2.6. Keeping our website safe – We need your help to keep our website safe. Therefore, you must adhere to the following:
- You must not collect user’s content using automated means a. You must not upload viruses or other malicious code.
- You must not bully, intimidate or harass anyone.
- You must not post any content that infringes or violates someone else’s rights, or otherwise violates the law, or that is hateful, threatening, pornographic or violent.
2.7. World Child Cancer disclaimer – we take great care with our website and we endeavour to keep it accurate, error-free and free of any offensive material. However, you use the site at your own risk and World Child Cancer will not be liable for any costs or losses you incur through your use of our website. Whilst we may include on our website links to third party websites or resources, World Child Cancer is not responsible for such third parties and you use those websites or resources at your own risk.
2.8. Refunds Policy for Donations – we are happy to refund your donation if you have made it in error. If you wish to request a refund, please contact us using the contact details in the Contact Us section of the website.
2.9. Privacy statement –World Child Cancer is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. We have structured our website so that, in general, you can visit our website without identifying yourself or revealing any personal information. Once you choose to provide us personally identifiable information (any information by which you can be identified), you can be assured that it will only be used to support your contact/client relationship with the World Child Cancer.
The main purpose for collecting your personal information is to enable us to provide our services and tailor our communications with you and to continuously improve our relationship with you. Please refer to our Data Protection Policy.
2.10. World Child Cancer’s rights – We may remove any content posted by you, or prevent access by you to our website if you do not comply with these General Terms.
Your fundraising
As an event participant fundraising in aid of World Child Cancer, you agree to the following:
3.1. Fundraising: Only to use lawful means to fundraise for World Child Cancer and not to bring the charity's name into disrepute.
3.2. Images and audio: Any images, video, audio or quotes taken on the event day or at any other occasion relating to your event, may be used by World Child Cancer to promote future events. If you do not wish your photos, video, audio or quotes to be used you must inform us in writing at: fundraise@worldchildcancer.org
3.3. Injury: You must ensure that you are medically fit to participate in your chosen event. You take part in your chosen event at your own risk, World Child Cancer will not be held responsible for injury or illness resulting from participation in an event.
3.4. Event organiser terms and conditions: If you take part in any third party events as part of your fundraising for 60K for Kids with Cancer it is your responsibility to read and comply with all terms and conditions issued by the event organiser. World Child Cancer is not liable for any loss or injury caused by your participation in a third party event.
