WHY 60K?
Right now, survival rates for kids diagnosed with cancer in low to middle-income countries are 20%, compared to 80% in the UK.
That's 60% points lower…
Most childhood cancers are curable, and little lives are at stake simply because they don’t have access to necessary life-saving treatment and care.
This October, we’re challenging YOU to conquer 60 kilometres to close the 60% cancer gap and save kids' lives.
Step up for kids with cancer to achieve your fitness goals and raise vital funds to help close the cancer gap. Because every kid with cancer deserves the best possible care.
HOW IT WORKS
MEET KOBI
When Kobi was five years old, he fell off his bike while playing with friends in his village in Ghana. Initially, his family thought the scrape was nothing more than the normal childhood bumps and bruises.
But when his knee swelled up and became very painful, Kobi was diagnosed with an aggressive osteosarcoma which required an immediate right leg amputation and chemotherapy to save his life. Something his family couldn’t afford.
This time was very stressful for the family knowing that treatment was out there, but they would struggle to get Kobi the care he needed…
Today, Kobi is able to run and play again as a result of receiving life-saving treatment and care made possible by the support of World Child Cancer.
